Venice Street

I hope the invitation for critique is not only open to eminent know-it-alls or utter professionals, as I am neither. Photography is a great love of mine and on it I base much of my artwork, for the funds for extensive travel are not at my disposal. Meaning, I am no expert but know how to cherish good takes. A good photo catches my eye and I wonder how it will develop on paper, canvas, or even wood or fabric. In me it's the artist's eye that searches for a great photo. And I must confess, browsing your gallery is a feast for my eyes. Your work is straight to the point, it is wide encompassing in its panoramas, it shows marvelous colors in the cityscapes, it knows how to embrace black and white (the one in the Venice alley invites one straight in) and play with depth and contrast and perspective. Were you born with that talent or did schooling foster it? Which camera is your favorite, do you use different equipment for each shot, like a golfer? In synthesis: my critique is a loving one, it's positive all around. There isn't one of your pictures I dislike. I am a fan
