I think your photograph is wonderful, the letterbox crop suits the subject matter perfectly, and I love the way you have caught the sun beams coming through the clouds.
The only thing I could suggest if you were take the same picture in the early morning or evening, I think it would bring out the shapes of hills which would probably be bathed in a glorious light, and create a completely different mood.
That said this is a outstanding photograph. Well done.
